Is the situation escalating again?
A small number of attempted violations are still recorded at the border of Belarus and the EU countries. However, the situation remains tense.
Polish border guards reported only 16 attempts by migrants to cross the border on Tuesday, December 5. At the same time, five foreigners abandoned their intentions at the sight of the Polish patrol. Meanwhile, a group of 60 people with a guide was seen at the outpost site in Dubicze Cerkiewne. Migrants walked along the fence, trying to find a place where they could cross the border.
In Lithuania, no attempts to violate the border were registered yesterday, while in Latvia there were only four such incidents.
