Famous Belarusians Narrated Texts By Kalinouski

"Mużyckaja prauda" sounded in a new way.

Famous Belarusians has narrated “Mużyckaja prauda” (“Folk's Truth”) by Kastus Kalinouski, the first Belarusian newspaper, which was published underground in 1862-1863 in the Hrodna region of Belarus. Alaiksandr Pamidorau, Lavon Volski, Rusia Shuma, Uladzimir Puhach, Hleb Siamionau and Dzainis Dudzinski.

The audiobook was presented by Litaralna Publishing House. “We consider it important to voice not only fiction, but also Belarusian cultural achievements in other genres, including journalism,” says its founder Uladzimir Puhach. “A century and a half ago, educated, progressive people, not indifferent to the fate of their country, their people, led by Kalinouski, broadcast thoughts and meanings that modern Belarusians should hear. That’s why we decided that it would be good to do this project together.”
