Belarusian Discovers Century-Old Czech Pistol In His House

A photo fact.

A resident of Baranavichy, while renovating his house, found a cache — a box on a wooden floor beam. Inside was a pistol with ammunition, the State Forensic Science Committee said.

It turned out that the man had found a Česka Zbrojovka (ČZ) model 1924 pistol, which was produced in interwar Czechoslovakia. At the same time, both the pistol and four of the seven cartridges for it were still suitable for shooting.

As experts note, this pistol was created mainly to arm the Czechoslovak police, guards and security services, as well as for sale. Until 1939, weapons were sold freely to individuals in this country.
