The husband of the political prisoner calls for complete isolation of the dictatorial regime.
The husband of well-known political prisoner Palina Sharenda-Panasiuk, activist of the European Belarus campaign, Andrei Sharenda, has commented on the repression of the Lukashist regime with regard to his wife specifically for the Basta telegram-canal.
- Lukashenka has repeatedly said that he doesn't fight with women, but in fact Cockroach is terrified of brave people and retaliates against them in every possible way, regardless of their gender. Palina not only has not broken down in prison, but she continues her struggle even there, in complete isolation.
The struggle for honour and dignity, the struggle for the future of Belarus. She is a brave person and she will hold on and continue to resist the regime.
However, one should not forget that Polina is a woman. And being held in inhuman conditions for months cannot but have an impact on her health.
- The criminal case under Article 411 of the Criminal Code was brought against Palina again. Earlier she was sentenced to another year of imprisonment under this article. It turns out that the term of imprisonment for a political prisoner can be endless?
- Yes, a new criminal case under Article 411 part 2 has been brought against Palina again. And there is no doubt that Palina will be sentenced again, and this time it could be two years in the concentration camp. And it could go on like this indefinitely. Or rather, until we overthrow this dictatorial regime. I do believe it will happen soon.
- How can we help Palina?
- The way to help Palina is simple - don't give up and keep fighting against Lukashenka's regime. We will continue fighting by all means until we win.
So I urge the international community, politicians and human rights organisations to stop any kind of dealings with the dictatorial Lukashenka regime and increase the sanctions! We must move to the complete isolation of the regime in all spheres.
Only determination and concrete actions can liberate Palina and other political prisoners.
