Two close peoples are fighting for the reinstatement of historical justice.
Colonel Ruslan Miroshnichenko, commander of the Second International Legion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, praised in an interview with the Nedelya program on the Belsat TV channel the Belarusian volunteers fighting against Russian aggressors as part of the AFU.
"We, the Ukrainians, are very grateful for the participation of Belarusian volunteers in our struggle. Belarusians have proven themselves as courageous, desperate and reliable soldiers. Not even soldiers but warriors. After all, a soldier - infantryman - stands for money, but a warrior stands for an idea. This shows that the Belarusian people have the best children, the best representatives - the knights of light," Ruslan Miroshnichenko says.
He says that even if there was only one Belarusian volunteer - "this is already a great value, because every foreign volunteer is a great asset."
"It symbolizes that two native peoples are fighting to reinstate historical justice," the legion commander said.
Miroshnichenko recalls that "our peoples have been fighting against the Russian Empire for centuries" and advised the Belarusians, first of all, to remember who they are, their language and culture.
"It is the last stage of the liberation struggle for the Ukrainians. It is also a chance for the Belarusians to take part in our struggle and gain some experience, and then - who knows - maybe the flag of free Belarus will appear over Minsk," the colonel says.
International Legion was established on February 27, 2022. As stated, it includes about 20 thousand foreign soldiers from at least 27 countries.
