RMF24: Series Of Mysterious Events Happened In Hrodna

Who was the strange citizen "L."?

Journalists of the Polish edition of RMF24 have conducted an analysis of a series of strange events in Hrodna. To begin with, KGB officers killed a man who was called a "foreign terrorist" by local propaganda in a routine street shootout. Later, security officers with dogs appeared near the house of the head of Hrodna Regional Executive Committee Uladzimir Karanik to detect explosives, reports the website.

A special unit of the Belarusian KGB allegedly shot in Hrodna a foreigner, identified only as "L" by the local special services. The operation was carried out as part of "suppression of terrorist activity of persons who have entered the territory of the Republic of Belarus," reported the KGB website. The event took place at 5 Kurchatov Street and the "foreigner" reportedly resisted.

The journalists supplemented this information with a reference to propaganda press reports, according to which "L." allegedly tried to repel the attack by Belarusian services with grenades and firearms.

Independent Belarusian media also report that 10 law enforcers and several buses were seen at the site. Shots were also heard.

The Belarusian KGB reports that a criminal case has been opened in the case. "Immediate investigative and intelligence activities are being conducted jointly with the Interior Ministry," the services wrote on their website.

However, the mysterious events in Hrodna do not end there. A few hours after the liquidation of the "foreigner", security officers appeared in front of the house of the chairman of the Hrodna Regional Committee, Uladzimir Karanik.
