The mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, reported this on Telegram.

"Rashist bastards shelled Zaporizhzhia. One of the enemy missiles hit an apartment building," he wrote.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also reacted to the Russian occupiers' strike on a residential apartment building in Zaporizhzhia.

In a message on his telegram channel, he stressed that "the terrorist country seeks to destroy our cities, our state, our people".

"Zaporizhzhia. Right now a Russian missile has hit a multi-storey building. Russia is shelling the city with brutal brutality. Hitting residential districts where common people, children live," said the President of Ukraine.
