Ukraine Reveals Number Of Russian Servicemen In Belarus

Russia has transferred part of its servicemen to the east of Ukraine.

On the territory of the Republic of Belarus, the activities of combat training of units of the armed forces of the Russian Federation continue. However, the number of Russian servicemen has decreased to 4,000 people. Andriy Demchenko, a representative of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, spoke about this on the air of the telethon.

According to him, the military of the Russian Federation on the territory of Belarus is undergoing training or preparation.

“The situation on the border with Belarus remains completely controlled, however, unfortunately, Belarus does not stop supporting the aggressor country in this full-scale war. And, in fact, it provides its territory and airspace for Russian units. Now, according to our data, a little more than 4,000 servicemen of the Russian armed forces are on the territory of Belarus, but they are mainly involved either in joint exercises or in training that continues on the territory of Belarus,” Demchenko said.

According to him, the decrease in the number of occupiers in Belarus is due to the fact that Russia withdrew units that had already been trained at military bases from Belarus in order to transfer them to the fronts, in particular, to hot spots in eastern Ukraine.
