Office Of the President Of Ukraine: Lukashenka Should Talk Less

The dictator only worsens his position.

Counselor of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mikhail Podolyak commented for nv.ua on Lukashenka's latest statements and the placement of Russian nuclear weapons in Belarus.

He called the Belarusian dictator an "information top-propagandist of the Kremlin," whose word today barely counts.

- After all, the Russian Federation has full control over the military vertical in Belarus, the power vertical in Belarus, the infrastructure facilities such as Mozyr or the training grounds. Therefore, Russia is not using Belarus as a sovereign entity, but solely as its territory, which has certain decorative signs of sovereignty as such, unfortunately. That is, Lukashenka is not a subject who can say I want or I don't want. He is exclusively a top propagandist, nothing more. And this position, if Russia does not just imitate the transportation of nuclear weapons to Belarus but tries to arrange it, it means that one can remove Lukashenka from the list of people who should be mentioned at all," a representative of the Presidential Office of Ukraine says.

Podolyak notes that Ukraine has so far observed the difference between Russia, which is the initiator and direct participant in the war, and Belarus, which provides Russia with its infrastructure, but as a legal entity not involved in the war. However, Lukashenka's statements after the incident in Machulishchy, which Podolyak called "inadequate," in his opinion, aggravate the situation.

- Lukashenka should talk less, because it would matter for him personally in the aftermath of the war. He may say that he did some things under the compulsion of the Russian Federation, and it would be an advocacy for himself. As I mentioned before, Russia is absolutely clearly, deliberately using him as a subject of information pressure, particularly on the European communities, the Ukrainian community. That is why he makes these disgusting statements that only worsen his personal situation," Mikhail Podolyak said.
