In the evening of March 30, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine with kamikaze drones, according to monitoring public pages, they were launched from the north and south. Ukrainians were urged to stay in safe places. Soon it became known that there were hits in Kharkiv, obozrevatel.com reported.

An attack by enemy UAVs was reported by the KRMA. At the same time, at least six missile hits from S-300 SAMs were confirmed in Kharkiv.

"Residents of Kyiv region! Threat of a drone attack! Air defence forces are on standby. Move to shelter or other safe places and stay there until the attack is over," the message read.

The head of the Ukrainian presidential office, Andriy Yermak, confirmed this information, urging citizens to move to cover.

"Russian terrorists are shelling Kharkiv from Belgorod Region," he wrote.

Later, Poltava region also warned of rocket danger. In particular, Kremenchuk mayor Vitaly Maletsky said the danger was high and urged not to ignore the air-raid alert.

"Do not ignore the air alert! Take cover! Increased danger!" he reported.

At the same time, the network wrote that the air defence system in Chernihiv region was also activated. As of 11:22 p.m., KRMA added that the danger had not passed, but the alert was still ongoing.

"Take care of yourself and your loved ones - don't leave shelters!" the authorities of Kyiv region urged.

In the first half hour of March 31, it was reported that an air defence system had gone off in Dnipro. Local monitoring public pages urged residents not to worry, saying that "our air defence system is good".

Also, Kharkiv MP Dmytro Mikisha said the air defence system was working in the region.

"Our air defence system is working. It's very loud over Merefa! Please stay safe," he stated.

Local media outlets noted that one enemy shell had been shot down.

The Kharkiv prosecutor's office later said there were hits in the city. The enemy fired at least six S-300 missiles, which unfortunately cannot be intercepted by the Ukrainian air defence.

"At 22:10 Russian occupation troops fired at our city. They targeted the Novobavarsky district in particular. At least six S-300 type missiles hit infrastructure and private houses. As of 12 midnight, there was no information about casualties or fatalities. Prosecutors, investigators, employees of the State Emergency Service and public utilities are working at the site. Facts of war crimes are being recorded," the prosecutor's office said.

According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff, Russia launched another air attack against Ukraine during the night of 30-31 March, using Iranian-made Shahed-136 kamikaze drones. Ukrainian air defence forces disarmed nine out of 10 such drones.
