Media: Ukrainian Armed Forces ‘Moved’ Russians In The Dnieper Delta

The invaders fled part of their positions on the Kinburn Spit and the Big Potemkin Island.

In order to minimize the enemy’s ability to terrorize the de-occupied territories of the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions with shelling, the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the counter-battery mode “clean up” the coastal zones in the Dnieper Delta from Russian positions, writes Stopkor. In this context, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have had some success on the Kinburn Spit and the islands in the floodplains near Kherson.

The current situation on the Kinburn Peninsula, which remains the only still occupied territory of the Mykolaiv region, was told on April 25 by a representative of the Southern Defense Forces, the leading popular channel “Nikolaevsky Vanek”.

According to him, the occupiers are trying to keep a certain group of troops on the Kinburn Spit, so that in the event of a Ukrainian landing, they can immediately repel an attack there. However, under the aimed fire of the defense forces from some points on the spit, the enemy was forced to retreat. This refers, in particular, to the positions near the village of Vasylivka on the shore of the Dnieper Bay — this is the northeast of the Kinburn Peninsula, adjacent to the temporarily occupied territories on the left bank of the Kherson region.

“The “liberators” hastily left the village of Vasylivka — some in packages, some simply retreated to the south or east, given that it is impossible to stay there because of the possible accurate fire of “weak Ukres”. The damned “SSU guys” block the air and the sources of any important information, so if the Russians have to hit, then at the “decision-making centers” (shops, ATB and peaceful houses), and not at the force that is terrorizing this very Spit,” the author of the channel notes.

He also noted that the “Lancets”, which the Russians brought to the south, never reached the Kinburn Spit, since the enemy command refers to the grouping on the peninsula as “unnecessary garbage”. Consequently, the occupiers in this area are demotivated and demoralized.

In addition, “Nikolaevsky Vanek” noted certain gains of the Defense Forces in another close area — the islands in the Dnieper floodplains near Kherson. Thus, the fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine covered a hostile position on the Big Potemkin Island with fire, as a result of which the Russian “tricolor” installed on the coast of the Old Dnieper, which the invaders proudly displayed, burned to the ground — just like the house where the Russian military men were based.

At the same time, the Russians are obviously afraid of forcing the Dnieper and landing the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the left bank, so they are trying to prevent the Ukrainian Defense Forces from gaining a foothold in the floodplains and terrorize the Kherson Islands with constant random attacks. The video of one of them was published on the evening of April 25 by the DeepState monitoring project.

As evidenced by the imagery, the Russian FAB was dropped on one of the beaches on Bolshoi Island at the mouth of the Dnieper.
