Piontkovsky: Russia Is Preparing ‘Honorable Capitulation’

Lukashenka was instructed to do the “dirty work”.

On March 31, the self-proclaimed ruler of Belarus Aliaksandr Lukashenka addressed the people with an unusual speech. During his speech, the Belarusian dictator said that the war between Russia and Ukraine should be ended, since none of its participants now understand what he is fighting for and what he will have to go to die for tomorrow.

Russian oppositionist and political scientist Andrei Piontkovsky drew attention to the fact that the mass of Russian publicists reacted sharply to Lukashenka's words on much smaller occasions, but this time “no one even made a sound”.

“It seems that these are already the first drafts of the statement of the Russian authorities about surrender,” the expert expressed his opinion during a conversation with Mark Feigin.

According to Piontkovsky, this is how they will explain their defeat in Russia: “You know, no one understood, the soldiers on both sides did not understand, two fraternal peoples, why dying, what for?”

As the political scientist noted, Lukashenka's speech was a hoax. The Kremlin is already preparing for statements that “we fought NATO and we managed to defend Russia”.

“At least a very serious group in power, including within the military establishment of the Ministry of Defense, is preparing not even an honorable draw, but an honorable capitulation, which causes very tough resistance from the ultra fascist party,” Piontkovsky said.
