The deputy CEO of the Minsk plant was detained for participating in protests, the press service of the Belarusian Interior Ministry reported.
He was noticed during the monitoring of social media, after that the 37-year-old man was detained.
“The man posted information of an extremist nature on his page, as well as information that he transferred money to an organization recognized as extremist,” the Interior Ministry said.
According to Aliaksandr Baydun, deputy head of the department of the public order protection administration of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Minsk, the detainee also repeatedly took part in protest actions.
“Detained for posting materials on the Facebook page that are now recognized as extremist. For going out to the protests in 2020,” says the man himself.
Searches were carried out at the place of work and residence of the Minsker, office equipment was confiscated.
