Political Prisoner Uladzimir Hundar Goes Deaf In Solitary Confinement

He is feverish.

As Viasna learned, Uladzimir Hundar started to hear badly on the last day of his 7-day detention in the solitary confinement. Upon his release, the political prisoner was feverish in the cell. He felt very cold; his head and ears hurt; he could no longer hear his cellmates and realized that he was completely deaf.

The doctor had given him pills and promised to call Ear Nose Throat doctor. However, it is still unknown whether the specialist has visited the political prisoner.

Uladzimir Hundar was sentenced to solitary confinement on the first day of April for misplaced pillow. However, he was not taken there for a month due to lack of space.

Political prisoner Uladzimir Hundar was sentenced to 20 years in a maximum security penal colony under 4 articles of the Criminal Code. An appeal against the latest conviction will be heard on 6 June.
