The action took place in the city center.
On Sunday, June 18, more than 100 people took part in a rally of solidarity with Belarusian political prisoners, organized by the Belarusian diaspora of Bialystok, the Charter 97% Telegram channel reports.
The protesters gathered in the center of the city, on Branicki Street, holding portraits of political prisoners, banners with the slogans “Freedom for Political Prisoners”, “Freedom for Poczobut”, and national white-red-white flags.
The participants of the action also drew attention to the fact that the information about the state of Viktar Babaryka and Mikalai Statkevich is still hidden by the authorities of Belarus.
Belarusians living in Poland said they will not forget their choice in the 2020 presidential election, and continue to fight for freedom and democracy in their home country.
They called on everyone not to remain indifferent to the fate of political prisoners who suffer from violence and torture in the prisons of the Lukashenka regime. They also expressed hope for the speedy release of all political prisoners and the punishment of those responsible for human rights violations.
