AFU Eliminate Russian Paratroopers On Their Way To Bakhmut Rotation

Ukrainian defenders destroyed a group of Russian paratroopers near Kleshchiivka, near Bakhmut. The occupants were on their way to a rotation.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the spokesman of the AFU General Staff Andriy Kovalev in the air of the telethon.

He noted that units of the 83rd Airborne Assault Brigade of the Russian Airborne Forces had moved to the area of Kleshchiivka. They were to replace the occupants of the 31st Airborne Assault Brigade in their positions. The latter had suffered losses in the fighting near Bakhmut.

"While the occupiers were moving to the first line of defence, the Ukrainian soldiers fired on them, and many of the occupiers were killed or wounded. The wounded Russian paratroopers were evacuated by helicopter to Rostov-on-Don," Kovalyov said.

According to the General Staff spokesman, the wounded were taken by truck to the city of Novocherkassk in the Rostov region, where hospitals are also overcrowded due to a lack of space.
