All Detained Medical Workers In Navapolatsk Dismissed Under Article For 'Absenteeism'

"The authorities" were afraid of leaks of information about Victar Babaryka.

On 17 May, there was a mass detention of medical workers in Navapolatsk Central City Hospital. Many of them were sentenced to 10-15 days in jail. Some of them were fined.

Then they were dismissed for absenteeism, Belye Khalaty telegram channel reports.

Surgeon Mikhail Pachkouski and urologist Pavel Stalmakou were arrested for 15 days, head of the gynaecology department Iryna Vasilyeva and ambulance paramedic Natallia Pervenenak - for 10 days, while ultrasound specialist Alla Stalmakova was fined 100 basic (3,700 rubles).

The detentions of the medical workers took place after information about ex-presidential candidate, political prisoner Victar Babaryka, was leaked and taken from the colony to the hospital.
