Armed Forces Of Ukraine Made Serious Progress In Berdyansk Direction

Stubborn battles for Staromayorske are underway.

The Ukrainian military achieved partial success and advanced from 350 meters to 1.4 km along the Berdyansk line. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with a reference to the commander of the operational-strategic group of troops “Tauride” Aliaksandr Tarnavsky.

“During the offensive operation of the Tauride grouping in the Berdyansk direction, Ukrainian strike units were partially successful and advanced into the depths of the enemy from 350 meters to 1.4 kilometers. There are stubborn battles for Staromayorske,” he said.

Meanwhile, there are no changes in the Melitopol direction. In connection with the dense mining, the Ukrainian obstacle groups and assault detachments are carrying out demining activities, inflicting fire damage, and the rest of the strike units are fixed on the mastered lines, ready for further offensive operations.

At the same time, the Russians are focusing their main efforts on preventing the step-by-step advancement of Ukrainian troops.

The invaders made unsuccessful attempts to regain their lost position in the vicinity of Priyutne.

The Russians also launched air strikes on the outskirts of Mala Tokmachka, Orikhove, Novodanylivka. The enemy artillery fired at Novodaryivka, Huliaipole, Huliaipolske, Novoandriivka and Stepne of the Zaporizhzhia region.

Over the past 24 hours, 285 shellings of positions of Ukrainian fighters took place in the Donetsk region. The enemy attacked 13 times in the Maryinka direction. In this direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to hold back the enemy offensive in the vicinity of Krasnohorivka and Maryinka.

The enemy carried out unsuccessful attacks around Novomikhaylivka and inflicted air strikes near Blahodatne and Makarivka.

At the same time, on one of the defense segments and as a result of a successful local counterattack, Ukrainian attack aircraft advanced towards the enemy and improved their tactical position.

Under heavy fire from enemy aircraft and artillery, the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully repulsed Russian attacks in the vicinity of Avdiivka and Nevelske. At the same time, the enemy shelled more than 10 nearby settlements from artillery, in particular, Karlivka, Pivnichne, and Nevelske.

In total, over the past day, the Russians attacked our positions 14 times and carried out 504 shellings.

Enemy losses

Artillery units of the Defense Forces of the Taurida direction completed 1,294 fire missions during the day.

Over the past day, the loss of the enemy killed, wounded and captured amounted to:

— 63 irrevocable losses,

— 110 sanitary losses,

— 4 prisoners.

The Ukrainian military destroyed 21 units of weapons and military equipment of the enemy, in particular, a tank, 5 armored combat vehicles, 4 Msta-B howitzers, 2 Giacint-B guns and vehicles. 3 enemy ammunition depots were also demolished.

Air defense units also destroyed two drones — a Supercam and an Orlan-30.

Counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

During the offensive, the Ukrainian Defense Forces liberated more than 192 square kilometers of territory in the south, and over the past week they have advanced by 12 square kilometers. Ukrainian fighters are conducting offensive operations in several areas towards Melitopol and Berdyansk.

On the Bakhmut frontline, during the offensive, Ukrainian soldiers liberated about 35 square kilometers of territory, 4 square kilometers last week. The main battles continue in the area of Klischiivka, Andriivka and Kurdyumivka.
