Large-Scale Fires In Moscow, Moscow Region: Polymer Plant On Fire In Obukhovo

On the night of January 11, two large-scale fires broke out in Moscow and Moscow Region. A production shop and an administrative and production building were on fire.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The Polycom polymer production plant is on fire in the village of Obukhovo near Moscow on the area of 8000 m2.
Before the arrival of firefighters, the personnel left the premises on their own. More than 100 specialists and 33 units of equipment are working on the site.
According to Russian manufacturers, Polycom specialises in creating thermoplastic compounds and composite materials for such areas as construction, automotive, household appliances, footwear, medical and food industries. The company is among the top 10 Russian producers.
Besides, an administrative and production building on the area of 2000 m2 was burning in Moscow on the Enthusiastov Highway.
A fire train was sent to the site, and rescuers took measures to prevent the fire from spreading further.
A few hours later the fire was extinguished. There were no casualties.
