Monk From Athos Reminds Belgorod Residents About Karma

And addresses to Putin.

Monk Andronik from Mount Athos, who is a Russian citizen, reacted to the shelling of Belgorod, where Russian air defence systems killed locals.

The Russians demanded from him not to keep silent and to say something about this situation, to which Andronik reminded that earlier these same people were rejoicing in the suffering of Ukrainians, claiming that this is how they are repaid for their sins.

Then the citizens of the Russian Federation asked the monk not to meddle, saying that all that is politics, and even stated that "since God has allowed it, it means that it is necessary for some reason," commenting on the war in Ukraine. The corresponding video was published on his TikTok page.

"I said then: when it flies into your house, you will sing a different song. It has flown in. Well, should I keep quiet, stay out of it? It's politics, I'll pray. Or maybe it's God's will, maybe if God let it happen, it means it's necessary for some reason? I'm not gloating now," Andronik responded to the Russians.

It should be noted that in another video the monk noted that he offered condolences both to the families of the Ukrainians who died on December 29 from the Russian strike, and to those whose loved ones were killed in Belgorod. The number of victims in the Russian city is disproportionate to how many people the occupiers killed in Ukraine, but "every soul is priceless, this is a tragedy."

"I express my condolences to all my compatriots who are innocently suffering, who disagree with what my government is doing in Ukraine and unwittingly become hostages of this situation. And as for comrade Putin and the bloody madmen who support him, I wish them repentance, if possible," Andronik said.
