New Book On 1991-2005 Belarusian History To Be Presented In Vilnius

A new book #IMBY about Belarusian history from 1991-2005 has been published. Today, as the organizers reported to the Charter97.org website, its presentation will take place.

Its author is writer Pavel Valatovich. The book tells the latest history of Belarus through newspaper articles, books, concerts, sports matches, concerts and music albums, rallies, graffiti on walls and leaflets on poles, money, documents and more.

The publication contains rich photographic material and photographs of unique and rare items from the author's personal collection. In terms of presentation, #IMBY can be compared to Leonid Parfenov's “Namedni”.

Pavel Valatovich, non-fiction writer, lives in New York, author of the biography of Neuro Dubel “The Enormous Shadow of the Earthworm” and a guide to the party-going Minsk of the 90s “From Panikovka to Shaiby”. The presentation in Vilnius will take place today, October 12, at the Center of Belarusian Social and Cultural Affairs (Vilniaus g.20). The event starts at 5 pm.
