Personnel Shortage In Russia: Missilemen Transferred To Infantry

They were not even given communication equipment.

The Russian military leadership has decided to create infantry battalions from the 1st regiment of the Strategic Missile Forces - this is the situation in the Kursk direction.

Activist Vladimir Grubnik reported about the dispatch to the 1 regiment of strategic missile troops, ‘which performs the tasks of a regular separate rifle regiment in the Kursk direction’, without communication equipment, according to the article of ‘Militarny’.

According to him, the regiment of the Strategic Missile Forces fights as an infantry unit with small arms as separate battalions. He explained that the unit did not receive the necessary means of communication, so volunteers gave them civilian Chinese radios.

Putin called the loss of part of Kursk region a ‘situation’, the bombing of Kursk was put on the ‘air.’

The Russian activist also highlighted the reason for this ‘reclassification’. According to him, it lies in the failure of mobilisation and an acute staff shortage in units on the front line. This allegedly forced to ‘shovel out’ contractors from ‘non-infantry’ units, in particular, the Strategic Missile Forces and the Air and Space Forces of the Russian Armed Forces.
