The head of the Pentagon said that ‘there are a number of options of what can happen’.
The probable participation of the DPRK military in Russia's war against Ukraine may result in new forms of support for Kyiv by Western partners. This was stated by US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin during a briefing on Wednesday, October 30.
The officials were asked about whether the possible participation of the DPRK in the Russian Federation's war against Ukraine could potentially bring Western countries to start sending their military to fight on Kyiv's side.
‘You mentioned my remarks about the potential expansion of this conflict. Yes, this (possible participation of the DPRK in the war in Ukraine - ed.) may prompt others to take measures, different types of actions. But I'm not going to speculate about what exactly could happen,’ the Pentagon chief explained.
Austin also added that ‘there are a number of options for what could happen’.
