USA Warns Lukashenka

Lukashenka said that he had recently been in contact with a ‘high-ranking official’ of the United States. According to him, the conversation took place via correspondence through an intermediary. He did not disclose the name of the person.

According to Lukashenka, the conversation was about the war in Ukraine. The U.S. side warned Minsk about the consequences of Belarus' direct entry into the war against Ukraine.

‘Recently I had to correspond through an intermediary with a high-ranking official of the United States of America. They were scaring us that if God forbid you help Russia and enter Ukraine through the north, if you do something there, we will impose such sanctions, we will start a war with you,’ Lukashenka said.
