New details of the attack.

On the night of Wednesday, October 9, drones attacked the Bryansk region of Russia. As a result of the attack, the detonation of ammunition began at the arsenal of the Main Missile and Artillery Department of the Russian MoD (GRAU) located near the city of Karachev, Bryansk region. The Focus has collected all the relevant information.

The Governor of the Bryansk region Alexander Bogomaz wrote about the attack in the Telegram channel. He noted that over the past night, Russian air defence intercepted and destroyed 24 unmanned aerial vehicles.

Russian publics note that from the arsenal to the city of Karachev in the Bryansk region — 114 km. However, close to it is a 20,000-population settlement. The total area of the arsenal is about 3.5 square kilometers.

"At the same time, as of 2021, detailed satellite images show that part of the ammunition in this warehouse with a total area of about 3.5 square kilometers was stored in the open air," analysts at Defence Express wrote about it.

Eyewitnesses publish videos of fire and detonation in the ammunition depot online.

The defeat of the arsenal has already been confirmed by the NSDC.

"Near the city of Karachev, Bryansk region, there was a defeat of the 67th GRAU Arsenal closest to the front line. It is only 114 km from the border with Ukraine, "Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council, wrote.

He added that ammunition, including from the DPRK, and KABs were stored in the warehouse. Kovalenko also noted that they were partially stored in the open air.
