German Prosecutor's Office Takes On Deputy Who Used Labor Of Belarusian Political Prisoners

A preliminary investigation is underway.
The Leipzig prosecutor's office has confirmed the receipt of a complaint against German businessman, deputy of the federal state of Saxony from the far-right party “Alternative for Germany” (AfD) Jörg Dornau, who is suspected of using the labor of Belarusian political prisoners, the German television company MDR reports. A preliminary investigation has been launched based on the complaint.
According to MDR, the Saxon branch of AfD is refusing to comment on the situation for now, Secretary General Jan Zwerg referred to the presumption of innocence.
Roland Ulbrich, who represents Dornau as a lawyer and is a member of the Leipzig city council from the AfD, told MDR that his client was not informed of what crime the prisoners working on his onion plantation near Lida were accused of, and also refuted the information that the prisoners were not given food or water.
