There are already signs of change at the front.
In the temporarily occupied Crimea, there was uneasy on November 27. The Ukrainian Defence Forces carried out a massive attack using drones and missiles.
A combined strike on the Crimean peninsula may indicate the preparation of the Defence Forces of Ukraine for counteroffensive actions.
This opinion was expressed by Roman Svitan, a pilot-instructor, colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in reserve and a military expert for Channel 24, specifying that in this case Ukraine should have a sufficient amount of aviation.
Attack on Crimea
Local Telegram channels reported that on November 27, two waves of drones were sent to Sevastopol: the first consisted of at least 12 drones, the second – up to 50. The use of the Neptune or S-200 missile was also mentioned.
"Undoubtedly, the UAV was used to create pressure on the enemy's air defence. Probably, the ADM-160 missiles (bait rockets – Channel 24) went further, and then the Neptune missiles. I do not exclude the possibility of the operation of our PTRC Grom – a system up to 500 kilometers of range," said Roman Svitan.
It is worth adding that the Russian air defence worked at the Belbek airfield in Sevastopol and the Saki airbase, near the Novofedorovka urban-type settlement. Smoke was also noticed over the territory of the Black Sea Naval University named after Nakhimov and in the area of the naval school in the Strelets Bay.
AFU Counteroffensive
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, said that Ukraine must stop the enemy, but a full-fledged victory is impossible if the Ukrainian military will work only in defence. According to the Commander-in-Chief, Ukraine must seize the initiative and counterattack, and this will definitely happen.
"The main component of warfare in the third millennium is the advantage in the air. Without this, a counter-offensive makes no sense. Only if you really already have the ability to perform combat missions with the help of aircraft and missiles, then it is possible to prepare directions for a counteroffensive," said the pilot-instructor.
According to Svitan, if aviation is active during the counteroffensive, this will significantly reduce the number of losses among the infantry.
"The strike on Crimea, especially in the direction of Kacha and Nakhimov, may be the beginning of our counteroffensive actions towards the Crimea. This is at least,” the reserve colonel suggested.
