Lukashenka Sets Up Guterres

No one thinks about starving children in Africa.

Lukashenka proposes to reduce the production of potash fertilisers. He made such a statement while agreeing on the appointment of Andrei Rybakou as Director General of Belaruskali, BelTA informs.

‘I would ask you to work out (I haven't set this task before) the issue, with whom it is required (especially with the Russians), on the extraction. I don't remember such prices in history at all: very low prices for potash fertilisers, although the work of miners is not easy.

Maybe we should talk to the Russians, consult and reduce potash production by 10, maybe 11 per cent. It's not that there will be a deficit in the market, but everyone will realise that it's an expensive product and one should pay appropriate money for it,’ said Lukashenka.

With this statement Lukashenka is setting up all the lobbyists and supporters of the lifting of sanctions against Belaruskali. The supporters of lifting the restrictive measures reasoned their position with ‘hunger in Africa’. UN Secretary General António Guterres also spoke about removing sanctions on potash.

As we can see, Lukashenka wants to stimulate the growth of prices for potash fertilisers himself.
