Expert Makes Surprising Prediction About Syrian Dictator Assad's Fate

He may not be in the Russian Federation after a while.

Iliya Kusa, an expert on international politics and the Middle East at the Ukrainian Institute for the Future think tank, commented on the situation with Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad's escape to the Russian Federation after the regime change in Damascus.

In an interview with Glavred, he suggested that at first, after escaping from Syria, Assad will stay in the Russian Federation.

‘He will most likely live in Russia. I don't think they will do anything with him,’ the expert said.

At the same time, he does not rule out that in the future Assad may change his place of residence and leave the Russian Federation.

‘Yes, perhaps he will later go to the Emirates. But nobody cares about that anymore, not even the Russians themselves,’ Kusa added.
