‘Charter’ Carries Out First Fully Robotic Operation Against Russian Federation Military

In early December, the 13th brigade of the Ukrainian National Guard ‘Charter’ conducted the first fully robotic operation against the Russian military in the Kharkiv direction. It is designed to save the lives of soldiers on the front line.
This was stated by the representative of the public relations service of ‘Charter’ Volodymyr Degtyarev, reports ‘Suspilne’.
He said that the fighters combined ground robots with various types of UAVs to thus create conditions for advancing the brigade's units on the battlefield.
‘There was a task to combine ground robotic systems, UAVs of various types, FPV attack drones and reconnaissance drones with the work of ground robotic systems. Mobile torrents with machine guns mounted on them, kamikazes, whose task is to drive up and blow up, for example, some enemy hideout, were also used,' said the Charter representative.
According to Degtyarev, the task of the robotised complex is to reduce the risk to the lives of servicemen. In particular, in the direction of logistics, demining and mining, as well as precision hits.
‘It concerns logistics, for example, delivery to infantry fighting positions, ammunition, water, paverbanks, fuel. It's also about remote mine clearance and mines to prevent the enemy from approaching our positions. It has to do with more precise hits. For example, the drops from large multicopters, they are more accurate than the work of artillery,’ he explained.
Referring to the weather conditions and how they affect the fighting, the Charter spokesman said that the unit's fighters started preparing for winter back in July.
‘We prepare positions, prepare fighters, equipment. So we can say that we are more ready. Now the Russians are using impregnation tactics, when they send small groups whose task is to get to somewhere, call fire on themselves and expose our fighting positions,’ he reported.
