Drones Attack Russia's Voronezh Region

The Russians woke up to explosions.

Explosions were heard overnight between December 17 and 18 in Russia's Voronezh region. Local residents reported hearing blasts in the sky above the area.

This has been reported by RBC-Ukraine with a reference to Russian Telegram channels.

Russians told the SHOT channel that around 4-6 explosions were heard. Preliminary information suggests that several airborne targets were reportedly shot down before the explosions. It is claimed that videos circulating online show the destruction of one of the drones.

“According to eyewitnesses, no fires or damage on the ground have been observed so far,” the message stated.

SHOT also reminded readers of a statement by Voronezh region governor Alexander Gusev. Earlier, he reported that air defense forces had allegedly detected and destroyed a Ukrainian drone in one of the region's districts.

Additionally, Gusev claimed that there were no casualties or damage.
