The Kremlin has a problem that cannot be solved.
Russians daily lose equipment on the battlefield in Ukraine. Warehouses with reactivated equipment are gradually being emptied, which poses a serious challenge for Russia.
Why the next year will be critical for Russia in many areas and what a strange step the occupation authorities resorted to in the Crimea, the military expert, pilot-instructor and reserve colonel Roman Svitan told about all this in the report for Channel 24.
Next year will be catastrophic for Russia
British intelligence reported that Russia has lost 11.000 units of equipment since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, of which more than 3.600 main battle tanks and almost 8.000 armored vehicles.
Even the "reactivated" bases of old equipment gradually begin to empty.
"In the rear warehouses, the Russians have somewhere between 15.000 and 17.000 'boxes', some of which are completely dismantled, not even for scrap metal. The maximum from the tank you can take the barrel, and everything else is no good. By the end of 2024, Russians will have no equipment left in their warehouses that can still be used,”
Svitan stressed.
Next year, the military expert explained, Russia will only be able to work "on the fly". That is, they will work on the battlefield only with what they were able to develop. This has partially become a problem for Russians: due to a lack of equipment, losses of personnel are insanely growing.
"Next year will be super-heavy for Russians in terms of equipment, ammunition, personnel and, most importantly, the economy. Nabiullina is already preparing the second rope, if the first one does not survive, because she simply will not be able to manage it next year without lifting the sanctions. They will all fall deep, there will be a catastrophe. It is the sanctions that will kill Russia next year," said the reserve colonel.
That is why Vladimir Putin needs to negotiate and agree on the lifting of sanctions. This is more important for the dictator than the territory, Svitan is convinced.
What are Russians afraid of in Crimea
In the temporarily occupied Crimea, the so-called local "authorities" decided to disconnect the mobile Internet. This will allegedly be done for the safety of the inhabitants of the peninsula. Other reasons and schedules of outages have not been reported yet.
As Roman Svitan explained, mobile Internet is, of course, needed to confirm some tasks, intelligence and data transmission. But there are many other ways of transmitting information.
“The Russians are cunning here. Probably, the Russian leadership has certain problems in Crimea. Serious opposition is growing there, forces are rising that will "sweep out" the Russian army from there. They feel it, so now it is very dangerous for Russians to openly transfer information online,"
stressed the reserve colonel.
The military expert also added that Ukraine is now accumulating long-range weapons. Therefore, in order to avoid a mechanism for adjusting the fire, the occupation authorities of Crimea are trying to cut one of the lines of communication. However, our partisans use not only the Internet to transmit data.
