Navalny's Funeral Are Possible At The End Of This Week

Associates of the Russian opposition activist spoke about it.

A public farewell to Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny is planned to be held at the end of the working week, that is, before March 1.

Navalny's Press Secretary Kira Yarmysh reported on X.

"We are looking for a hall for a public farewell to Alexei. Date: The end of this business week. If you have a suitable place, please contact us,” she wrote.

On February 24, Lyudmila, the mother of the Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny who died in prison, took her son's body.

On February 23, Navalny’s Press Secretary Kira Yarmysh wrote that the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation put an ultimatum to the mother — either she agrees to the secret funeral of her son, or he will be buried on the territory of the prison. She noted that the mother refused to negotiate with the Investigative Committee, because there "they do not have the authority to decide how and where to bury her son."
