The Coast Guard reacted.

Taiwan says 5 China coast guard ships entered waters near the frontline islands of Kinmen on Tuesday.

Reuters reported.

According to the agency, Kuan Bi-ling, head of Taiwan's Ocean Affairs Council, which runs the coast guard, told reporters at parliament that the Chinese boats left the area shortly after Taiwan's coast guard told them to leave.

At the same time, the Chinese Coast Guard did not provide any comments on the incident with the ships.

According to Reuters, this month the Chinese coast guard began regular patrols around the Taiwanese-controlled Kinmen Islands, which are near the Chinese coast following the recent incident. Then two Chinese citizens died trying to escape the Taiwan Coast Guard after their boat entered forbidden waters.
