There is already a discussion going on at the expert level.
The Council of Europe is discussing the format of the future tribunal over Putin and Lukashenka, CE Secretary General Maria Pejcinovic-Buric told Espresso.
“This discussion is now taking place at the expert level within the Core Group of States. The moment has not yet arrived when participants will finally decide how and when to create a tribunal,” she said.
The Secretary General noted that they intend to involve as many international organizations as possible in the discussion.
It should be noted that the European Parliament called on the International Criminal Court (ICC) in the Hague to issue an arrest warrant for Lukashenka.
In a resolution approved by European deputies, he was named as an accomplice in the forced disposition of more than 2,150 children. This refers also to the orphans from Russian-occupied regions of Ukraine.
