Putin's spokesman got nervous because of the huge number of people who came to bid farewell to the politician.
Vladimir Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin had nothing to say to Alexei Navalny's relatives on the day of his funeral.
He added that the Kremlin could not give an assessment of Navalny as a political figure, RIA "Novosti" reports.
In addition, the Kremlin warned of responsibility for any "unauthorised gatherings".
"We don't have any comments. We have a reminder that there is a law, it must be obeyed. Any unauthorised gatherings will violate the law, accordingly those who participate in them will be held responsible," Peskov said.
