Explosions Heard In Kerch Near Crimean Bridge

One of the targets could be the Russian "Sergey Kotov" ship.

On March 5, the Russians reported a "massive attack by Ukrainian UAVs" and marine drones on land facilities in temporarily occupied Crimea. They complained that the Black Sea Fleet ships and the Crimean bridge were also targeted. The latter was blocked for traffic by the Russian "authorities".

This is reported by the Ukrainian media.

According to Crimeans, at night explosions were heard in the area of the bridge, and then the traffic on the Crimean bridge was blocked. In the morning it was reported that the road has remained closed "for five hours already".

"The Crimean bridge is still closed: attempted shelling. Air defence systems are working. Also uncrewed boats are trying to attack the ships of the Black Sea Fleet," the network reported.

According to SHOT, the sounds of explosions started to be heard at about half past one in the morning, according to eyewitnesses from different parts of the city three to five powerful explosions were heard.

The occupiers claim that almost all of Crimea was under a "massive strike by Ukrainian formations". They claimed an attempted drone strike on land targets and an attack by sea drones on ships, as well as on the bridge over the Kerch Strait.

Russian "war correspondents" suggested: "judging by the explosions in the vicinity of Feodosia", one of the targets could be the "Sergey Kotov" patrol ship ("Vasily Bykov" project), which was in that area.

"At the moment, Ukrainian formations have made another attempt of a massive strike on the Crimean peninsula. In order to carry out strikes, both UAVs for hitting ground targets and uncrewed boats for attacking Black Sea Fleet ships are used. Another target is the Crimean bridge. Judging by the explosions in the vicinity of Feodosia, one of the targets could have been the "Sergey Kotov" patrol boat, which was in that area. "Whether there were hits or the explosions were caused by the destruction of the ammunition is unknown," the Russian military channel of Rybar reported.
