Israeli & US Defence Ministers Contacted After Iranian Attack

Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant spoke with US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin after the Iranian attack on Israel.

The The Times of Israel reported.

Gallant's office reported Mr Austin on Israel’s defensive actions.

The defence minister also thanked Mr Austin for his support of Israel.

"Gallant stressed that the Defence Ministry maintains maximum readiness for further attempts to attack," the office of the Israeli Defence Minister said.

Iran's attack on Israel

Recall that on April 1, as a result of a missile strike on the capital of Syria, the building of the Iranian consulate was destroyed. At least seven Iranians were killed, including two generals.

Iran blames Israel for the attack and promises a “tough” response. Israel, for its part, warned Iran that in the event of an attack from Iranian territory, it would retaliate.

Late in the evening of April 13, Iran launched drones against Israel. The IDF was preparing to intercept them on the approach to the country.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it was tracking more than 100 Iranian drones. The Times of Israel reported on the interception of the drones.
