The dictator delivered some sort of a delirious speech about the economy of the Western powers.
Aliaksandr Lukashenka, speaking with journalists after the May 9 celebration in Minsk, predicted “an imminent collapse of the dollar.”
“They (Western countries — edit.) are missing something. The dollar is about to collapse.
If the dollar collapses, what will happen? They have the whole economy on paper. They print dollars when necessary. They say that if there is a lot of money, there will be inflation. They don’t care — inflation falls on us,” Lukashenka raved.
The dictator believes that no one needs the euro and dollar anymore:
“This is what they fear most. I gave an example — they don’t have their own friends. You remember, Europe introduced its own currency — the euro. Normal, strong currency. For us, as for the whole world, the euro and the dollar are one and the same. It was before the sanctions.
Now no one needs dollars or euros. This is no longer happening just in Belarus and Russia — it is so in many countries.”
