AFU General Staff: Battles For Vovchansk Are On

Five battalions of Russians are attacking the town.

Heavy fighting with Russian invading troops continues in Kharkiv direction, the complex situation is dynamically changing.

This is stated in the summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, published on Facebook. Thus, hostilities are conducted in the directions Pilna - Lukyantsy, Pilna - Gliboke, Pilna - Oliynikove, Murom - Bugruvatka.

Also, the occupants are conducting assault operations in the directions Strelichya - Gliboke, Oliynikove - Gliboke, Oliynikove - Lukyantsy, Murom - Staritsia, Pletenivka - Tikhe. During the day the Russian Federation carried out 22 assaults in these directions, of which 14 are still ongoing.

"Fighting is underway for the border town of Vovchansk. The enemy has engaged significant forces to conduct an offensive on the town consisting of up to 5 battalions and does not count with its own losses. The Russian invaders have lost more than 100 invaders killed in this direction alone. At present, the enemy has a tactical success," noted the General Staff.

It is noted that measures to destroy the occupants, who have cut into the Ukrainian defence, have been planned. Ukrainian fighters are defending themselves and inflicting fire defeat on the occupiers, as well as widely using unmanned systems for reconnaissance and spot strikes.

"The deployment of reserves to stabilise the situation continues. While defining tasks for the troops, one of the main priorities is to preserve the lives of our warriors. We continue to destroy the enemy," the report said.
