The Wolf Holes Colony Was Cut Off From Outside World For 24 Hours

An emergency situation has occurred.

The penal colony #22 “Wolf Holes” in the Brest region was cut off from the outside world for 24 hours. The reason is severe thunderstorm and hail. This was reported by the Telegram channel of human rights activists and journalists of the Viasna Human Rights Center from Mahiliou.

A downpour and thunderstorm occurred on Monday in the area of the villages of Damanava and Borki. As a result, telephone communications were completely cut off in the colony, located in the forest on the border of the Brest and Hrodna regions on the territory of a former military base.

“The administration of the penal colony #22 was not prepared for such an emergency situation. In addition to the fact that the convicts were unable to contact their relatives, not a single telephone number of the administration was available,” reports Viasna.
