Huge MIA Scandal In Belarus: Police Captain Led A Gang Wearing Balaclavas That Robbed Truckers

The criminal investigation officer personally participated in the raids.

The KGB detained a criminal investigation officer of the Dokshytsy District Department of Internal Affairs and a participant in political repressions, Captain Mikhail Zhirski. The police officer is accused of leading a gang of raiders, whose detention was recently reported by the enforcers.

The report of the Ministry of Internal Affairs dated May 20, 2024, tells about the detention of five residents of Orsha. They were cleaning out trucks in parking lots throughout Belarus.

While the driver slept in the cab, the criminals broke open the lock of the cargo hold, loaded their minibus with stolen goods — equipment, food and everything — and left the crime scene. The stolen goods were then sold in Russia or used by the criminals themselves.

Six cases are mentioned, as well as the use of portable radio sets and balaclavas.

But this is incomplete information that hides some fetaures.

According to Nasha Niva, the captured Orsha gang members after the arrest gave out the identity of another accomplice, who made the scheme possible — through their specific access to information and knowledge of conspiracy methods.

As it turned out, the head of the gang of raiders is the 27-year-old captain of the Dokshytsy Criminal Investigation Department, Mikhail Zhirski.

According to Nasha Niva, Zhirski not only informed the gang members about the progress of criminal investigations into the committed episodes and participated in the planning of robberies, but also participated in these raids.

In Zhirski's apartment, they found another weapon, different from the service weapon, which appeared in the victims' statements. As well as the same clothes as it was described and balaclava.

Zhirski was born in Talochyn, close to Orsha, and was allegedly in a relationship with criminalized fellow countrymen for a long time.

The criminal case is under special control of the MIA chiefs, the Investigative Committee, the Prosecutor General's Office and the KGB. Other officers of the criminal investigation department of the Dokshytski MIADistrict Department are temporarily suspended from service and are checked for involvement in crime.

Immediately after the detention of Zhirski, the police authorities were even replaced in the area.

It should also be noted that Zhirski took part in political repressions, detaining innocent citizens for participating in protests opposing the Lukashenka regime.
