Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said fears that Russia would attack any NATO member were unfounded, adding that the war in Ukraine, now in its third year, showed the limits of Russia's capabilities. Reuters reports this.

“The Russian military is waging a serious and difficult war with the Ukrainians. If the Russians were strong enough to defeat the Ukrainians in one fell swoop, they would have done it already,” Orbán said.

“I don’t think it’s logical that Russia, which cannot even defeat Ukraine, will suddenly come and swallow up the entire Western world,” the Hungarian politician emphasized.

It is worth noting that Russian propagandists often emphasize the supposed “power and strength” of the Russian army, claiming that it is one of the strongest in the world.
