BILD: NATO May Close Skies Over Western Ukraine

The initiator of expanding air defence is Poland.

NATO is discussing the possibility of taking under protection the skies over the West of Ukraine. The initiator of the "expanded air defence system" is Poland, but there is no final decision yet, Bild reported on Monday, May 27.

The publication writes that some NATO countries are ready to expand their support to Kyiv and act directly on the territory of Ukraine.

Estonia, the UK, Poland, Canada, Lithuania and France are in favour of expanding assistance. The USA and Germany are against it. There are no final decisions yet, but there are talks about several issues at once.

In particular, they are discussing the training of AFU soldiers by NATO instructors on the territory of Ukraine.

Also, according to journalists, a number of NATO countries, including the UK, Canada and Estonia, are ready to deliver weapons and ammunition in the future not only to Ukraine's borders, but also further to the front line. Several Western countries are now developing the concept of "advanced logistics".
