Lukashenka Explains Why He Was Talking About War

He recalls the Brest Fortress for some reason.

Lukashenka spoke to propagandists in Mahiliou. He said that in Belarus there is now a lot of talk “about the current dangerous moment, about various kinds of alarming signals, about the high probability of an escalated confrontation.”

“We can’t miss the moment. I always tell the military: we must prepare for this. That’s why we are building borders our Western border,” he explained.

Speaking about the construction of structures, Lukashenka emphasized that he took into account the experience of the Brest Fortress, so the borders are being built “further from the border.”
