Names Of People Detained At Lida Metal-Woven Plant Revealed

A “confessional” video was recorded with them.

At least nine people were detained during the police raid on the Lida metal-woven plant Haver BY. Their “confessional” video was published on June 19 by a Telegram channel close to the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime and Corruption.

According to Mediazona, they are Hanna Murashka, Yauhen Ashurak, Artsiom Strukau, Vadzim Kahnovich, Artsiom Shchebet, Siarhei Sharapau and Mikhail Kukharchyk. The names of two more detainees are unknown.

The workers were forced to say on camera that they were subscribed to or reposted from “extremist” groups. It is not specified what articles they are accused of.

In the police video, Siarhei Sharapau said that he is a reserve officer. Yauhen Ashurak mentions a joint photo with colleagues, which was posted on social media. He did not specify what was depicted on it.

LLC “HAVER BY metal woven plant” is a subsidiary of the German concern Haver & Boecker OHG, as reported on the company's website. The plant is engaged in the production of metal meshes.
