Ukraine Promises To Bring Accomplices Of Belarusian Regime To Responsibility

Over deals with the occupation "authorities" of Crimea.

Ukraine is aware of at least 7 agreements that Lukashenka's regime signed with the Russian occupation authorities in Crimea. Kyiv claims that with these agreements Minsk recognises the Russian occupation and promises to be held accountable.

As reported hromadske.ua, this was written by the first Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sibiga on Facebook.

According to him, only in June, the city of Vitsebsk and Vitebsk region of Belarus made "deals" with the occupation authorities of Simferopol and Feodosia, as well as the so-called Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the occupied peninsula and its Saki district.

In addition, a protocol of intentions on creating a free economic zone between Vitsebsk and the temporarily occupied Crimea was signed. At the same time, the heads of Minsk City Council and Executive Committee also signed co-operation agreements with the occupation authorities of Sevastopol.

Sibiga says that such agreements are "nothing but an attempt on the territorial integrity and sovereignty" of Ukraine because they contradict the UN General Assembly resolutions. Also, according to him, Russia is interested in signing such documents and encourages other states to establish ties with the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories.

The first deputy foreign minister promised a proper response from the Ukrainian side: the facts of illegal actions are being recorded by Ukrainian law enforcers, and an investigation is also underway.

"Ukraine has already taken appropriate measures to respond to the mentioned unlawful actions. Officials involved in the preparing and signing of such 'documents' will be the subject of consideration for applying sanctions restrictions by our partners in the sanction coalition," Sibiga added.
