Belarusian Tractors To Be Exchanged For Cuban Rum, Coffee

Halouchanka has agreed on barter.

Belarus is ready to expand the list of goods within the scheme of barter with Cuba. This was stated by head of the Belarusian government Raman Halouchanka at the talks with Prime Minister of Cuba Manuel Marrero Cruz.

‘In addition to pharmaceuticals, we are interested in the supply of rum, cocoa beans, coffee, fruit puree and other items. We are ready to discuss these topics and, if we reach an agreement on price and quality, include them in our commodity exchange scheme. For our part, we are ready to continue supplying Cuba with milk powder, machine-building products, spare parts and other goods in demand,’ he said.

There has been a commodity exchange scheme between Belarus and Cuba for 10 years, which assumes that the island state supplies our country with medicines for a certain amount, while in turn, Belarus supplies agricultural and automotive equipment to the island.
