Lukashenka Is Accused Of Betrayal In Russia

And they threaten reprisals.

Unofficial Russian commentators accuse the dictator of betraying Russia after Lukashenka withdrew troops from near Ukraine, Detector Media writes.

Professor of the Department of Geopolitics of the Moscow Institute of National and Regional Relations Igor Skurlatov, who tells stories that in 1994 it was he who "made a decisive contribution to Lukashenka's electoral promotion", called the Belarusian dictator a "scumbag" and a "peacemaker" who "offers us to make friends with the Ukrainians, that is, in fact, to capitulate". The political scientist assured that Lukashenka "thus becomes the next candidate for denazification after Zelensky."

Former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and now Russian politician Oleg Tsarev agrees with Skurlatov. He noted that earlier Belarus "helped" and "rendered... an important service" to the Russian Federation when it "kept the forces" of Ukraine at the border, deflecting them from the front. But after July 13, according to Tsarev, "there is no such support."

In turn, the Alex Parker Returns channel accuses Lukashenka of a "separate secret deal" with Kyiv and that "in the storming of Vovchansk and Lyptsi, Putin's reliable ally abruptly sided with Ukraine."

A colleague of Skurlatov, political scientist Yevgeny Yevstafyev, even considered in Lukashenka's statement "warming up before deal", and "this time with high chances of success" and "very serious" consequences for the Russian Federation.

Particular discontent in Lukashenka's actions among ardent supporters of the war against Ukraine was caused not even by the withdrawal of Belarusian troops from the southern border to the places of permanent deployment, but by his statements that "it is necessary to negotiate... it is possible to agree... it is necessary to talk" and "we are not enemies for Ukrainians".

For their part, the official media presented the situation with the withdrawal of troops from the southern border of Belarus as agreed with the Russian side. As confirmation, Lukashenka's words that he will "discuss further actions" with Putin are strongly cited.
