Mariupol Partisans Poison Occupiers With Watermelons Containing Arsenic

The mayor's adviser revealed details of the operation.

In Mariupol, Russian occupiers were poisoned with watermelons, 12 soldiers died. This was reported on July 18 in the enemy Telegram channel “Kremlin Snuffbox” with a reference to sources in the FSB and the local “police”.

The network reported that the incident occurred last week. The Russian soldiers were allegedly “treated” by a man of Asian appearance and a woman of Slavic appearance. The watermelons were given with words of gratitude for the “protection”.

Russian law enforcement officials said that 12 occupiers died, and four more were hospitalized. “Terrible doses of arsenic” were found in the watermelons. The unknown persons who brought them disappeared without a trace.

In addition, the “police” said that there had been several more similar incidents since the beginning of May. In total, seven more enemy fighters died “under mysterious circumstances” during this time.

Poisoned watermelons in Mariupol: what they say in Ukraine

On July 18, Mariupol Mayor's Advisor Petro Andryushchenko shared that he read the news from a Russian source with a smile. He noted that the resistance could “neither confirm nor deny” this information, but continued to work.

However, on July 19, he confirmed on the air of the telethon that the operation to poison the Russian occupiers was carried out by local partisans.

“Our people are not directly involved in the transfer of such dangerous “gifts” to the Russians, unlike, for example, last year. There are always people who have come from Russia and want to make money. That is, they are sold to,” the advisor noted.

He revealed the details of the operation, calling it “simple”.

“It was clear that watermelons were being purchased for a military base. It was clear who was looking for them, and would supply these watermelons there. These people were sold a batch of watermelons cheaply — it got there and caused the damage it was supposed to cause,” Andryushchenko said.

He emphasized that for every dead occupier, there are two or three “incapacitated” invaders. The adviser added that he cannot talk about everything while the city is still occupied, but people work there and “everyone dreams of victory”.
